Naturally, I'm significantly unhappy. Now I have a choice between this new 16 GB card with performance worse than a class 2 card (somewhere in the range of 1.5 MB/s) or the old, 4 GB card which came with the phone which really is class 2 (and is a bit faster than the declared speed).
The new card looks "solid" though, except for the unknown brand (of which btw I saw several sellers on e-bay), it has the "class 6" marker on the card, apparently works in a compatible way - but is exceptionally slow. Actually, for reads at least, it has "bursty" performance - bursts of relatively high speed followed by pauses. The writes are uniformly slow.
Well, live and learn. I'll post product photos when I get near a better Internet connection.

Maybe it's just misaligned? I don't know, just a thought..
I always expect to get ripped of when buying on eBay (or the swedish eqivalent), but I have so far not had any especially bad experiences, nor any particular good ones either, like you before this.

Ignore my previous statement re alignment. You must already have thought about this..

Bought a TeamGroup 16G micro SD card on ebay. Class 6 but writes at 3.5MB per sec - not even Class 4.
Avoid TeamGroup?

Yes, I left a negative feedback on eBay and the seller offered a 50% refund, which brings the price down to what a class 2 card actually costs. It's an interesting business model.

Was just about to buy one off DealExtreme. Will now avoid, thanks for the heads up
